I have been powerlifting for about a year. The powerlifting training was originally meant to be a kind of rehab from a surgery I had back in 2010, but it has now become an end in itself. I’m really very pleased with the progress I’ve made since I started. With a total maximum lift of 430kg (957 pounds), I’m very close to the 1000 Pound Club.
I have to go back in for surgery in December, but my aim in 2014 will be to get well and smash the 1000 Pound mark by quite a long way.
